    Online purchases in Quebec and Canada

    You can return purchased items that are not suitable for you and get a refund. You can also make an exchange. The time allowed is thirty (30) days. In the case of an exchange, the new shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

    Items purchased on sale are final sale. These items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Please note that promotional items (example promotional code) are not considered sale items.

    The sale of paddles, surfboards, stand up paddle boards, boogie boards and/or skimboards is a final sale.

    Delivery and shipping costs

    We offer free shipping with Canada Post for orders over $75 before taxes. Inflatable paddle boards for a limited time.

    Shipping charges for orders under $75 before taxes are $10.

    *Free shipping promotion on inflatable paddle boards for a limited time.

    Free shipping does not apply to surfboards, stand up paddle boards, boogie boards and/or skimboards .

    Rigid SUP and Surfboard 8'0 and over: A flat fee of $95 applies for delivery in the province of Quebec, the province of Ontario and the Atlantic provinces.

    Inflatable SUP and Surfboards 7'11 and under: A flat fee of $50 applies for delivery in the province of Quebec, the province of Ontario and the Atlantic provinces.

    In addition, the sale of these products is a final sale.

    Online order processing

    Orders are processed and shipped within 48 hours from the date of purchase. A signature is required to collect your package at your delivery address.

    Delivery times in Quebec are generally between two (2) and three (3) business days. Once the order is on its way, you can track it using your tracking number (Canada Post).

    If your order was placed during the weekend or on a holiday, processing will begin the next business day.

    All products are inspected and cleared for shipment prior to packaging. Southbird Inc is not responsible for breakage during transport of the goods.

    We deliver everywhere in Canada with Canada Post. Please allow between five (5) and seven (7) days for delivery outside Quebec.

    Return of online purchases and refund policy

    You have thirty (30) days following the date of your purchase to initiate a return process (refund or exchange).

    You must contact us by phone at 418-650-7343 or write to us by email at info@southbird.com to obtain a return number (RA#). No returns will be accepted without authorization.

    The product must be in its original condition in order to be returned. A product in its original state must not have been washed and must not have been used. In addition, it must not be stained and/or damaged. All original tags must still be intact and attached to the product.

    For a return, the transport costs are the sole responsibility of the customer. We strongly suggest that you choose the services of a carrier that offers a tracking number. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages. Once the package has been received and inspected, we will process your request as soon as possible. The file will be completed by contacting you.

    All refunds are made to the original method of payment. Depending on the banking institution, the processing time is between three (3) and seven (7) days following confirmation of the refund. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

    Gift certificates are not refundable and/or exchangeable.

    Canceling your order online

    Unfortunately, it is not possible to cancel an order that has already been sent.

    Sales tax

    Southbird Inc charges sales tax on items ordered through its website southbird.com. The sales tax rate that applies to an online order depends on the delivery address of the order. 5% GST (Goods and Services Tax) is added to all orders in all provinces except the following provinces where HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) is added to all orders: New Scotland, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador (15%), Ontario (13%) and Prince Edward Island (14%). Additionally, Provincial Sales Tax is added to all orders in Quebec (9.975%), British Columbia (7%), Manitoba (8%) and Saskatchewan (6%).

    Online shopping in the United States

    The fixed delivery charge to the United States is $10. Delivery times are generally between six (6) and ten (10) working days once the order has been shipped.

    Customs fees and taxes that may be added to an order shipped to the United States are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Southbird Inc is not responsible for any charges that may be added to the delivery of an order to the United States.

    All other policies for processing an order and for returns are the same as in Canada.

    In-store purchases
